Bio:

Mike has over 30 years of leadership and ownership experience with multiple generations and types of building controls.  He has specialized  in operations and advanced technical problem solving for eclectic range of systems and personnel and is a highly sought-after industry thought leader in the building Automation industry.  Mike provides oversight of day to day operations and administrative management at the company he co-founded, Smart Buildings Technologies (SmartBT).

Current / Previous Roles:

In addition to Tapa’s Board of Director and Tapa’s Co-Founder, Paul is the Co-Principal and CEO of Smart Buildings Technologies (SmartBT). SmartBT is a leading east coast build system integration firm established in 2008. VP Operations at Mona Building Technologies. Regional Manager Computrols.

Education:

Mike graduated from Towson State University in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and earned his Commission as a 2LT, Infantry from the Loyola College ROTC program. He has also earned various technical certifications from Distech Controls, Computrols, Cylon Auto-Matrix, and other providers of building automation technology.
